As WILL Empower continues to roll out our programs we are thrilled to begin recruiting for the inaugural Emerging Leaders Cohort of Learning.
This program convenes a dynamic and diverse cohort of approximately 16-20 women who experience and shape a leadership development program that cultivates political voice, enhances organizer sensibilities, and provides mentoring. This program connects an intergenerational network of women leaders in disparate areas of the workers’ movement including public/private sector unions, worker centers, and other forms of worker justice organizations.
Participants will range from elected and executive leaders, as well as activists and staff with experience in strategic campaigns, policy, communications, research, and organizing for worker justice. The cohort meets in person for two retreats within a 12-month period. The inaugural gathering will be held on April 11-14th, 2019 in the Washington, DC area.
Emerging Leader Cohort of Learning applications are due by January 31st, 2019. Recruitment for an Executive Leader Cohort of Learning will begin in the Fall.
